For reasons of health, safety and professionalism, NHTDA enforces a strict dress code. All students are
required to be properly dressed for class. We recommend Capezio brand dancewear, and do carry most
items in stock.

HAIR:
Hair over three inches long must be pinned up in a bun and away from the face (including bangs). A Pink
or Black snood or a hairnet is suggested for long hair and a headband (also pink or black) is the choice for
short hair and/or bangs.

BOYS & MEN (preschool to semi-professional students):
White T-shirt, Black stretch pants or Black or Grey sweatpants, Black or White socks, Black ballet slippers,
Black tap shoes.

PRE-SCHOOL DANCE:
Pink or Light Blue leotard (Capezio 134C or 9908C are preferred), Ballet Pink full length tights (preferably
with a seamed back), Pink ballet slippers, White tap shoes. Pink or Light Blue skirt may be worn.

PRE-BALLET:
Pink or Light Blue leotard (Capezio 134C or 9908C are preferred), Ballet Pink full length tights (preferably
with a seamed back), Pink ballet slippers. Pink or Light Blue skirt may be worn.

BALLET (beginner to semi-professional students):
Maroon, Navy, or Black leotard, Ballet Pink full length tights, Pink ballet slippers (leather or canvas), Black
or Pink skirts may be worn at the barre only (beginner students). Black or Pink legwarmers and/or Black or
Pink skirts are allowed in intermediate and advanced classes.

TAP/JAZZ (beginner to semi-professional students):
Maroon, Navy, or Black leotard, Ballet Pink full length tights, Pink ballet slippers (leather or canvas), Black
tap shoes.

ADULTS:
While tights and leotard are always allowed, we are more relaxed with our Adult dress code. Please wear
comfortable clothing that is not too large. T-shirt, stretch shorts, stretch pants or sweatpants are allowed in
Adult classes.
